Who had the Trump-Kim summit on June 12th, 2018 benefited the most?

Both Trump and Kim benefited, can't really say who benefited the most--if it makes sense, one can say each benefited the most, vis-a-vis the other, in the way most meaningful to himself.


For Trump, it means 'bigly' bragging rights and material to spin--a historical F2F that no other US president had done (or would agree to), never mind that aside from a meet & greet incident, not much was actually accomplished. His supporters will eat it up, and it may help with the mid-term elections.

For Kim, he finally got the recognition for the Kim regime on the world stage, by the USA, and bought time away from the threat of a military confrontation. 

He has arrived at a credible MAD deterrence and has been recognized for it. His stature with his people is also enhanced.

A nothing burger proved to be a good meal for both. That's a win-win.
